I took the first flight out early morning of my birthday.
In just an hour or so, I went from the vibrant streets of Bangkok to the laid-back white sand beaches of Phuket.
Part 1 of the trip here
PHUKET
For the first time, I took a break from the usual backpacker’s life of staying at hostels and gave myself a treat.
Believe it or not, it was my first hotel experience as a solo traveler!
It was quite nice to have my own space for once. Hahaha.
There are many beaches outlining the island of Phuket. Each one has its own personality. When deciding where to stay, just think of what you came to Phuket for. Is it the night life? Or you want to have a break from the hustle and bustle?
In my case, I wanted a little of both so I ended up staying near Kata Beach.
One reason why I chose Phuket as one of my destinations for this trip is that it has so many neighbouring islands.
I wouldn’t have missed out on the chance to see them so I signed up for an island hopping tour.
KRABI & PHI PHI ISLANDS
They were beautiful as expected. The only downside was that since I went during peak season, the beaches were packed. It was almost impossible to snap a good shot.
Nonetheless, the tour was worth it.
The experience didn’t start and end at the islands.
The breathtaking view carried on throughout the whole tour even while in transit.
We were sailing across crystal clear waters
and were surrounded by limestone mountains.
Simply BEAUTIFUL.
Though every island we went to looked almost identical with the white sand and pristine clear waters, each one offered a different experience.
I definitely had my dose of sun, sand, and sea.
But my Thailand birthday week wasn’t over!
Next stop: Koh Yao Yai Island
